Lead nurturing

Also known as: lead nurture · nurture sequence

Definition

Lead nurturing is the planned follow-up that stays in touch with leads who aren't ready to buy yet, using useful messages over weeks or months until they're ready or drop out. It isn't a substitute for rejecting leads who were never a fit.

Segment by the reason a lead isn't ready, such as price, timing, comparing options or waiting for approval, not by sign-up date. Each message should answer the next question that blocks the decision, stop the moment the lead replies or books, and hand over to a person at defined points. A nurture sequence can't repair a slow first response, because the clock that matters starts when the enquiry arrives.

Choose channels that fit the lead and the rules. WhatsApp needs opt-in and, outside the 24-hour window, an approved template. TDRA's FAQ allows marketing text messages only between 7 am and 9 pm UAE time with prior explicit consent, and Clyde & Co reported in July 2024 that marketing calls are limited to 9 am to 6 pm, so confirm which rules apply to your follow-ups. As a starting design, plan a short sequence over about a month, then drop to a monthly touch. In long-cycle categories such as off-plan property, keep the lead in the sequence but have a person review it every few weeks.
