Community management
Definition
Community management is the day-to-day work of replying to comments and messages, moderating conversations and handling complaints on a brand's social accounts. It is customer service and reputation care carried out in public, not the same job as posting content.
The work is mostly rules: which comments get a reply, in what time, in whose voice, and who takes the escalation when a message is a complaint, a sale or a legal risk. A good routine answers public questions in public, moves anything personal to a private channel quickly, and leaves a visible, honest reply behind. Deleting criticism is rarely the right move and can make the complaint grow.
In the UAE, treat questions about price and availability as leads, because they are. The person asking 'price?' under a post wants a number in minutes, and speed to lead applies in comments as much as in forms. Reply in the language of the comment, with Arabic written natively. Decide who covers days the office is closed, and in sectors with advertising rules, such as clinics, have the reply policy checked against them before staff improvise.
