How much does SEO cost in Dubai in 2026?

A monthly SEO fee is really a count of specialist hours. How to turn any Dubai quote into hours, what the cheapest fees leave out, and when SEO pays back.

The short answer

SEO in Dubai is priced by specialist hours, which is why quotes vary so widely. Magnetic Keys' SEO starts from AED 12,000 a month, excluding VAT, and rises with site size, number of languages and content volume. A fee far below that buys few hours, so ask any agency for the hours behind its number.

Say two Dubai agencies quote AED 3,000 and AED 12,000 a month for what both call SEO. Neither has to be lying, because a fee is a number of specialist hours with a price attached, and the hours behind the two quotes are very different. The rest of this guide is the arithmetic you can run on any quote, ours included.

No market range is printed here, because any single range has to mix a brochure site with a store of thousands of products. The sums below price your own job instead.

What actually sets the price of SEO?

Six things set the price of SEO: who does the work, how many languages the site needs, the size and condition of the site, how much gets written each month, how strong the competition is and how many locations you serve. Each one works through hours.

What moves the feeWhy it changes the hoursWhat to ask
Who does the workA senior specialist based in the UAE costs the agency more per hour than a junior or an offshore team, so the same fee buys fewer hours from them.Who, by name, does the technical work and the writing?
LanguagesArabic search needs its own keyword research and native writing, not a translated copy, so a bilingual site is closer to two jobs than one.Is the Arabic researched and written separately, and by whom?
Size and condition of the siteA small brochure site and a store with thousands of product pages need very different amounts of technical work, and broken templates have to be fixed before content can help. What will you fix first, and who builds the fixes?
Content each monthWriting is usually the biggest consumer of hours, and a page that is researched, written, edited and published takes the same time whoever does it.How many pages a month, in which languages, written by whom?
CompetitionTerms where strong sites already rank need more content and more authority work, which is a large part of why competitive terms take 6 to 12 months and most sites see movement in 3 to 4.Which of my target terms are competitive, and how do you know?
LocationsEach branch needs its own Google Business Profile, local page and reviews to look after. How many locations does the fee cover?

How many hours does your SEO fee actually buy?

Divide the part of a fee that pays for specialist time by the cost of one specialist hour and you have the hours your site gets. Say two-thirds of every fee pays for that time and the rest covers account management, tools and the agency's margin, a made-up split to replace with whatever the agency tells you.

Now say a senior specialist based in the UAE costs the agency AED 200 an hour and a junior or offshore one costs AED 100, both invented for the sum.

Specialist hours per month if two-thirds of each fee pays for time, using made-up hourly costs
Monthly feeHours at AED 200 an hourHours at AED 100 an hour
AED 3,0001020
AED 6,0002040
AED 9,0003060
AED 15,00050100

The table's best use is catching promises that can't be kept. Say an agency offers 40 hours a month for AED 3,000. After the invented one-third for overheads that would be AED 2,000 over 40 hours, or AED 50 an hour, so either its people cost less than that or the hours won't be worked.

Hours also show what a fee can't cover. Say a researched, written, edited and published page takes 5 hours, a figure to replace with your own timings. Four pages a month, two in English and two in Arabic, then take 20 hours. That would be the whole of an AED 3,000 month at junior rates, and twice what that fee buys at senior rates. Nothing is left for technical fixes, links or reporting.

Add a made-up 10 hours a month for technical checks, link work and reporting and the same month needs 30 hours. That would cost AED 9,000 a month at senior rates or AED 4,500 at junior ones, before anything is added for a bigger site, a second location, Arabic or tougher terms. Junior hours aren't a bargain by themselves, because someone senior still has to decide what the juniors work on and check what they hand back.

Why the cheapest SEO costs the most

A fee that can't pay for the work stops paying for the parts that make SEO pay, and the shortfall shows up months later as nothing happening. Five things have to give when the hours run short.

  • Technical fixes. Finding a problem is quick, building the fix needs a developer, and a quote with no developer time in it delivers a report instead of a repair.
  • Arabic. Keywords get translated instead of researched, or Arabic is quietly left out, so the Arabic side of your market meets pages that were never written for it.
  • Original writing. Templated pages on topics hardly anyone searches for are the cheapest way to spend a small fee, and Google's spam policies treat mass-produced pages made mainly to rank, rather than to help readers, as scaled content abuse.
  • Senior judgement. The person who decides what to work on is the most expensive hour in the month, and the first one to disappear from a thin fee.
  • Reporting that reaches revenue. A rankings screenshot costs nothing to produce, while tracing enquiries back to pages takes setup and attention.

A low fee on its own isn't the warning sign, because a short site in one language can need little work. The warning sign is a low fee beside a long list of promises, such as rankings, Arabic, content and links in the same quote, because the hours can't stretch that far. The posts on cheap SEO and on guaranteed rankings go through the red flags.

Where our own SEO price starts, and what comes before it

Magnetic Keys' SEO starts from AED 12,000 a month, excluding VAT, and the price moves with site size, language count and content volume. Work is done in English and Arabic by native writers, with no machine translation.

If you don't yet know what's wrong, buy a diagnosis before a retainer. The Growth Audit Sprint is AED 18,000 and includes a technical and content SEO audit alongside the rest of your marketing. If the site itself is the problem, a website from AED 35,000 costs about as much as three months of SEO, and three months of SEO on a site that can't rank is money spent on a report.

All prices here exclude VAT. The Ministry of Finance publishes a standard rate of 5% and its VAT page lists no exception for agency fees, so budget as though it applies and confirm with your accountant. An AED 12,000 fee works out at AED 12,600 with VAT.

How long before SEO pays for itself?

Later than it starts working. Most sites see movement in 3 to 4 months and competitive terms take 6 to 12, and payback follows movement because the fees keep running through the whole wait.

Three numbers decide it: the monthly fee, the gross profit on one customer and the month enquiries start arriving. Divide the fee by the gross profit per customer and you have the extra customers a month that SEO must bring just to cover itself. Work that out before you compare agencies, because it tells you how much SEO you can afford.

Take a made-up fit-out contractor in Sharjah paying AED 12,000 a month and earning AED 8,000 gross profit on an average job. Covering the fee takes 1.5 extra jobs a month. Say organic enquiries begin in month five, by which point AED 48,000 has gone out in fees. The table shows when the business gets level, which is its payback period.

Months until the first four months of fees are recovered, with made-up figures
Extra jobs a month once enquiries startNet gain a monthLevel by
2AED 4,000Month 16
3AED 12,000Month 8
4AED 20,000Month 7

One extra job a month halves the wait here, from 16 months to 8. That sensitivity is why the first check is how much search demand exists for what you sell, before you look at any agency. Look up the monthly searches for your five most valuable phrases in Google's Keyword Planner and ask whether ranking first for all five could plausibly produce the extra jobs you need. If it couldn't, SEO isn't your first spend.

Funding matters as much as returns. At AED 12,000 a month, four months cost AED 48,000 before VAT and a full year works out at AED 144,000. If you can't carry the wait, ask whether paid search first or SEO first fits your cash better, because paid search can produce enquiries sooner and costs differently.

What should an SEO quote show before you sign?

A usable quote shows hours and names. Send every agency the same one-page sheet and compare the totals, not the fees.

  • Hours per month for each task: technical checks, keyword research, writing, links, reporting and calls.
  • The person doing each task, their seniority and how many other clients they carry.
  • The languages covered, and who researches and writes the Arabic.
  • What sits outside the fee: tool subscriptions, developer time for fixes, any content writers.
  • The first 90 days in dated steps, and the number you'll judge the work by, which should be enquiries rather than rankings.

A bad answer is a list of tasks with no hours beside them. An agency that fills in the sheet without fuss has already told you more than its pitch did.

Questions people ask

01How much does SEO cost for a small business in Dubai?

Magnetic Keys quotes SEO from AED 12,000 a month before VAT, set by site size, languages and content volume. A small business with a small site in one language sits near the start. If a quote is far lower, ask how many specialist hours it buys each month and who works them.

02Is cheap SEO in Dubai worth it?

Only when the hours are listed and the job is small, such as a short site in one language in a quiet niche. A cheap quote that promises rankings, Arabic, content and links together can't pay for the work. Divide the fee by the promised hours and see whether the hourly figure is believable.

03Should I pay for SEO monthly or as a one-off project?

Pay once for a diagnosis if you don't know what's wrong, then monthly when there is ongoing work such as content, fixes and tracking. Magnetic Keys' Growth Audit Sprint is the one-off option. It costs AED 18,000 excluding VAT and includes a technical and content SEO audit.

04Do SEO fees in the UAE include VAT?

Ask, because a quote can go either way. The Ministry of Finance publishes a standard VAT rate of 5% and lists no exception for agency fees, so budget for it on top unless the quote says otherwise. That is an inference from the published rules, not tax advice, so confirm with your accountant.

05How long does SEO take to pay back?

Most sites see movement in 3 to 4 months and competitive terms take 6 to 12, and payback comes after movement. Work out how many extra customers a month cover the fee, then check the wait against what you can fund. At a fixed fee, one extra customer a month can shorten payback a lot.
