How much do Google Ads cost in Dubai?

You set the budget and an auction sets the click. The two bills in Google Ads, and how to work a monthly budget backwards from what a lead is worth.

The short answer

Google Ads cost whatever the auction charges per click, so you set the budget and Google sets the price. Work backwards instead: a lead's value gives the cost per lead you can afford, which with your click-to-lead rate gives the most you can pay per click. Management is a second bill, and Magnetic Keys' fee starts from AED 12,000 a month excluding VAT, with ad spend paid to Google directly.

Google doesn't publish a price for Google Ads. You set a daily budget, an auction prices each click, and what you control is whether the click is worth what it cost. That's why this question has no one-line answer, and why this post works backwards from what a lead is worth to you.

Google Ads has two bills, and a hidden third

Media is the bill Google sends, for clicks. Management is the bill from whoever runs the account. The third cost is the landing page and the tracking, which decide whether a click turns into a lead.

How do you set a Google Ads budget backwards from lead value?

Start from the profit a customer brings and work toward the click, not the other way round. The six steps carry one made-up example, an air-conditioning maintenance company in Dubai, so you can watch the numbers move.

  1. 01Work out the gross profit on one customer, after the direct costs of serving them. Say the made-up company earns AED 3,000 from a customer in a year.
  2. 02Decide the share of it you'll spend to win the customer, which sets your allowable customer acquisition cost. Say the company picks 30%, which works out at AED 900.
  3. 03Divide by the number of leads it takes to win one customer. If one lead in six becomes a customer, the company can afford AED 150 a lead.
  4. 04Multiply by your click-to-lead rate, the share of clicks that become an enquiry. If one click in 12 becomes a lead, the most the company can pay for a click is AED 12.50.
  5. 05Compare that ceiling with the bid estimates in Google's Keyword Planner for the terms you want. If the estimates show AED 25 a click, the company would pay AED 300 a lead against the AED 150 it can afford, and search doesn't pay on those numbers.
  6. 06Multiply the leads you want each month by the cost per lead you can afford. Twenty leads at AED 150 would be AED 3,000 of media a month.

Every figure above is a placeholder for your own. What matters is the order of the sum: lead value first, click price last. When step five fails, the fix is a better conversion rate, a more valuable customer or a different channel, and not a bigger budget.

A budget has to buy about 30 conversions before you can judge it

Google's own guidance for evaluating Smart Bidding results is to use periods with at least 30 conversions, such as a month or longer, and at least 50 for Target ROAS. That turns into a budget floor: the conversions you want, times the cost of each.

On the made-up numbers above, 30 leads at AED 150 would be AED 4,500, so a budget of AED 3,000 a month would need about six weeks to reach a readable sample. Google says Smart Bidding can be switched on without prior data as long as conversion tracking is enabled, so the 30 is a guide for judging results and not a minimum for starting.

Count the right conversions. If your buyers message on WhatsApp or ring, a form-only tag undercounts your leads and starves the bidding of the signal it needs. In GWI's Q2 2026 survey, published by DataReportal, 84.1% of UAE internet users aged 16 and over said they'd used WhatsApp in the past month, ahead of YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook. The post on conversion tracking in the UAE covers calls, WhatsApp and forms.

Management is the second bill, and its shape matters

A flat monthly fee pays for the work. A percentage of spend pays more as your budget rises, so the agency's income grows when you spend more and not when results improve. Say a fee is a fifth of spend, which would be AED 4,000 on AED 20,000 of media and AED 8,000 on AED 40,000, for much the same hours.

Magnetic Keys charges for paid media management from AED 12,000 a month before VAT, and the fee scales with the channels covered and the volume of creative. It reports weekly on leads and cost per lead, and you pay Google and the other platforms directly. See Google Ads and PPC for the scope, and what PPC management should include for the monthly work.

Tax is a further line on both bills, and VAT on Google and Meta ads lists what to check on each invoice.

Four signs Google Ads is the wrong first spend

Wait if any of these is true.

  • The ceiling is below the bid estimates, and no change to the page or the offer closes the gap. Compare SEO or Google Ads first before spending.
  • The search demand is too small to reach 30 conversions even over several months, which makes the account impossible to judge.
  • Nobody answers enquiries quickly. A click that reaches an unanswered phone is paid for twice, once to Google and once in the lead that goes cold. Federal offices keep a Saturday and Sunday weekend with a half day on Friday, and private companies set their own week, so your answering hours and not the federal calendar should set the ad schedule.
  • The landing page can't convert. The landing pages guide shows what to put above the fold.

Run the six-step sum before you set a daily budget. If you can't fill in step one, the account isn't ready to spend, and an agency's first job is to help you fill it in.

Questions people ask

01How much should I spend on Google Ads per day in Dubai?

Work backwards instead of picking a figure: your affordable cost per lead times the leads you want each month, divided by the days in the month. Google's guide for judging Smart Bidding is at least 30 conversions in the period, so a budget that can't buy that many leads in a month needs a longer test.

02Is there a minimum budget for Google Ads in the UAE?

The useful floor comes from your own numbers and not from a platform rule: enough to buy about 30 conversions in the period you judge results over, which is Google's guide for evaluating Smart Bidding. Switching it on needs conversion tracking, not a minimum spend, so 30 is a guide for judging and not a rule for starting.

03Do I pay Google or the agency for Google Ads?

Both, for different things. You pay Google for clicks from an ad account in your own name, and you pay the agency a management fee. At Magnetic Keys the ad budget goes directly to the platforms and never through our invoice, and ad accounts stay in the client's name.

04What is a good cost per click on Google Ads in Dubai?

The one your numbers can afford. Multiply your affordable cost per lead by the share of clicks that become leads, and the answer is your ceiling per click. A figure quoted as typical for Dubai mixes sectors with very different customer values, so it won't show whether your own clicks pay.

05Should I pay an agency a percentage of my Google Ads spend?

Be careful with it. A percentage fee grows when your budget grows whether or not results improve, so the agency is paid for spend and not for leads. A flat fee for defined work, reported against leads and cost per lead, keeps the incentive on results.
