Brand voice model

Also known as: brand brain · fine-tuned brand model

Definition

A brand voice model is a language model customised on a company's own copy, offers and guidelines so its output matches that brand's register, vocabulary and positioning without heavy editing.

Customisation ranges from a detailed system prompt with curated examples, which is cheap and sufficient for most businesses, to genuine fine-tuning on a large corpus, which is worth it only at high content volume.

The determining factor is the quality of the source material. A model trained on inconsistent copy will reliably produce inconsistent copy, which is why a precise tone-of-voice specification has become a prerequisite rather than a nice-to-have.
