Google AI Mode

Also known as: AI Mode

Definition

Google AI Mode is a separate way of searching in which Google answers longer, more conversational questions with an AI-written response and invites follow-up questions. Google's Search Help page, checked in November 2026, lists the UAE and Arabic as supported.

Where AI Overviews attach to searches people already make, AI Mode is somewhere a searcher goes on purpose, usually with a longer question and follow-ups to come. A buyer weighing up suppliers is the kind of person who might use it, and after the first answer the next questions are about price, timing, what is excluded and how to book. A page that answers only the first question gives the assistant nothing for the rest. That's a reasoned bet, not a documented rule.

The rollout was gradual. Google's Arabic-language blog dates the English launch across the Middle East and North Africa to 21 August 2025 and the Arabic launch to 8 October 2025, though neither post names the UAE. The Search Help page does list it, as of November 2026, so if AI Mode doesn't appear on one device, check that page and try another device before concluding it is missing.

Eligibility is the same as for AI Overviews, and Google documents no further conditions. Measurement is manual. A tool reporting an 'AI Mode ranking' is showing one run of one question, and a second run can read differently.
